Andersen in Cambodia’s Tax Experts Participate in Major Tax Forum in Cambodia

Andersen in Cambodia was proud to be one of the sponsors of a major tax forum organized by the American Chamber of Commerce. With Cambodia’s quickly evolving tax framework, the forum provided a great opportunity for business and government leaders to discuss and exchange insights on the latest developments on taxation in Cambodia.
The forum brought together leading private sector tax experts and senior tax officials, including H.E. Kong Vibol, Minister attached to the Prime Minister in charge as the General Director of the General Department of Taxation, who delivered the keynote address.
Several Andersen tax experts participated in the forum, including Partner Laysym Sim, who was the main presenter in the Tax Audits and Appeals session—always an important topic for businesses in Cambodia. He also participated as a panelist in several other sessions during the forum. Director Chanthearith Chea delivered a presentation on new tax regulations on share premiums and directors’ pay and Eric Yang moderated a session on transfer pricing, a growing area of focus.
