Chanthearith Chea

Chanthearith, a certified tax agent, has over a decade of experience in business advisory and tax compliance, including as an auditor for Big 4 firm PwC. He specializes in guiding clients through complex tax registration and compliance processes by applying his extensive knowledge and understanding of the Cambodian tax regulations and practices on the ground.

Chanthearith holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (Enterprise Management) from the Royal University of Law and Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from the Institute of Foreign Languages.

He advises on tax compliance and audit-related matters across a range of industry sectors, including financial services, logistics, telecommunications, garment manufacturing, and construction.    

Some of his notable assignments include:

• Leading the tax due diligence exercise for a major multinational conglomerate with water utility operations in Cambodia.
• Conducting tax due diligence for a leading logistics and supply chain entity in Cambodia.
• Providing comprehensive tax advisory and implementation support on the cross-border share transfer of a Thailand-based logistics entity, ensuring regulatory compliance and a tax-efficient restructuring.
• Providing expert tax audit defense for a major commercial bank, successfully negotiating with the tax authorities to obtain a significant reduction in the client’s tax assessment and liabilities.
• Providing expert tax audit defense for a leading shipping liner, successfully negotiating with the tax authorities to obtain a significant reduction in the client’s tax assessment and liabilities.
